Garhwa Superintendent of Police Deepak Kumar Pandey and Additional Superintendent of Police (Operations) Rahul Dev Baraik, accompanied by a police contingent, visited Lavahi village under the jurisdiction of Dandai police station. There, they met with the wife and mother of Raju Bhuinya, a two-lakh-rupee reward-carrying Maoist sub-zonal commander from Lavahi Kala village. The officers informed them about the Jharkhand government's surrender policy. Raju Bhuinya's wife and mother assured the officers that they would encourage him to surrender and would facilitate his surrender in the near future. The Superintendent of Police explained the benefits of the surrender policy to his mother and wife. He also enquired about their needs and any problems they might be facing. He assured them that their needs would be met and their problems addressed.
