Minister Dr Irfan Ansari was speaking at a workshop organized at a local hotel in Ranchi on Tuesday under the Ayushman Bharat Chief Minister Jan Arogya and Abua Health Security Scheme.

Dr Ansari, while referring to treatment in private hospitals, said that private hospitals treat patients as long as they have money from Ayushman Bharat Chief Minister Jan Arogya and Abua Health Security Scheme, after which they refer them, in such a situation the patient admitted in critical condition dies. Such a situation is inhuman and hospitals should take full responsibility for the treatment of the patient. Dr Ansari said that many people associated with private hospital management could not come to this workshop but we will organize a workshop for them again. He said that I am also a doctor and I will help you in every situation. I want to run the health system smoothly. If there is any problem, you can talk to me directly.

In the workshop, Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department, Ajay Kumar Singh said that this workshop is to understand the difficulties faced by the hospitals implementing the government schemes. Also, better coordination should be established between the hospital and the department. He said that there are 31,000 beds in our state, out of which government hospitals have around 15,500 beds and the same is the case with private hospitals. He said that the number of beds in the state hospitals should be increased, because there should be 1,13,000 beds in the state.

He said that maternal mortality rate and child mortality rate have decreased in the state. We are doing better in both. That is why people from other states are also coming to our state for treatment. He said that we are providing all the facilities so that no one is deprived of treatment. He told the management of all the hospitals that if there is any problem of any kind, then tell us, we will provide full help. He said that read the guidelines carefully. Appoint the best people in your hospital, who can work according to the guidelines.

On this occasion, Executive Director of Jharkhand State Arogya Society, Abu Imran urged all private hospitals to comply with the guidelines 100 percent. He said that small hospitals are not able to understand the guidelines. They also do not have trained employees. Therefore, they need people who are trained and can understand the guidelines.
