The 79th Independence Day of our nation India was celebrated on 15th August 2025 Shashwat Institute of Teachers’ Education campus with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The entire college campus was beautifully decorated with national flags, flowers and colourful rangolis, creating a festive atmosphere. The programme started at 9:30 am with the arrival of the Chief Guest Anil Kumar Sharma, Principal Dr. Sanjay Kumar Sinha, teachers and non-teaching staff and B. Ed. students of session 2024-2026. Chief Guest Anil Kumar Sharma hoisted the National Flag, after which all the people present sang the National Anthem.
A Guard of Honour was also given by the cadets in honour of the Chief Guest. The principal welcomed the Chief Guest and all the people present in the gathering on the campus and highlighted the importance of Independence Day. The Chief Guest addressed and congratulated everyone on this auspicious occasion and remembered the sacrifices of the freedom fighters. This was followed by various cultural presentations, which included patriotic songs, patriotic dance and B. Ed. Different tableaux were presented by the artists, which filled the environment with the spirit of nationalism.
These presentations were highly appreciated by the audience. At the end of the program, a prize distribution ceremony was organized. In this, medals were awarded to the students who performed excellently in academic and extracurricular activities during the National Year. The judges involved in the competition, Dr. Rahim Rati, Dr. Binita Kumari, Dr. Nitish Kumar Sumat, Amrita Robert, Madhu Kumari, Riya Kumari, Dr. Rakhi Kumari, Kritika Kumari were also awarded medals.
The Program concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Perminder Kaur. Sweets and snacks were also distributed among everyone.
