Wednesday, 21 May 2025 | PNS | Jamshedpur

A creative spark is igniting in Jamshedpur as a group of youths come together to craft a compelling thriller short film titled “Signal Lost”. Helmed by director Satyam Chakraborty and Anubhav Singh, both alumni of the prestigious Loyola School, the project has found fresh energy in Samridhi Sharma, a passionate producer from the school’s current batch. The film is being made in the association of Humans of Jamshedpur.

Set in the heart of Jamshedpur, “Signal Lost” weaves a tight narrative of mystery, friendship, and psychological suspense — all against the gritty backdrop of the city’s urban life. With plans to screen at national and international film festivals and release online, the film represents a bold leap into the world of independent cinema for this young team.

“Returning to our roots with a camera and a story feels incredibly personal,” said director Satyam Chakraborty. “We wanted to build something that resonates with the city’s energy and gives local talent a platform.”

Auditions are now open for key roles, and the team is calling out to passionate, emotionally expressive actors ready to take on layered characters.

Audition Details: Age Group: 21–30 years, Open to: Both male and female actors, Skills Required: Emotional depth, commitment to the craft, Shoot Location: Jamshedpur and Film Format: Short film aimed at festival submissions and digital release.

“The production promises a high-quality experience, both technically and artistically, for all involved. The team is also committed to spotlighting local talent from Jharkhand and nearby regions. Interested actors can call or WhatsApp 9113490357 to book an audition slot. The last date to apply is May 22, 2025,” said a team member.
