Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology (JUET), Guna, celebrated "National Science Day 2025" from February 27 to March 5, 2025, honoring the legacy of Dr. C.V. Raman. The week-long event, themed "Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science & Innovation for Viksit Bharat," aimed to foster scientific temper and innovation among students through a series of lectures, competitions, and exhibitions.
The festival was inaugurated by Dr. S.C. Sharma from IIT Roorkee, who engaged with B.Tech students, offering valuable insights and encouraging scientific exploration. Distinguished speakers such as Prof. Prasanta K. Jana (HAG) from IIT-ISM Dhanbad, Dr. Punya Prasanna Paltani from IIIT Raipur, and Dr. Nishat Gupta (MBBS) delivered lectures on emerging trends in modern science, enriching the participants' knowledge.
A Science Project Model Exhibition and Quiz Competition on "Sustainable Science" were key attractions, encouraging students to showcase their innovative ideas and scientific understanding. The leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. D.K. Rai and Registrar Dr. Sanjay Mishra ensured the event's smooth execution, with significant contributions from Conveners Dr. P.S. Banerjee and Dr. Deepak Sharma, along with organizing faculty and student volunteers.
In the Science Project Exhibition, Abhay Tiwari, Khushi Sharma, and Pal Mehta emerged as winners for their outstanding projects. In the Quiz Competition, Arya Mishra, Priyanshi Mishra, and Shubham secured the top positions, showcasing their scientific acumen.
The event was catalyzed and supported by the National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC), DST, GOI, New Delhi, and the M.P. Council of Science and Technology (MPCST), Bhopal, with participation from over 300 students.
The festival concluded on a high note, reinforcing JUET’s commitment to promoting scientific innovation and academic excellence, while inspiring the next generation of scientists and innovators.
