The meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) was held in the meeting hall of the Zila Parishad on Tuesday under the chairmanship of MP Sukhdev Bhagat. Before the meeting started, the terrorist attack in Pahalgam was condemned and tribute was paid to the dead by observing two minutes of silence. The proceedings were started by reviewing the decisions taken earlier in the meeting. In the meeting, the development schemes being run by all the departments were reviewed and necessary instructions were given by the MP.
The MP said that the schemes should be completed on time. Any kind of negligence will not be tolerated. During the review meeting, the MP directed the NHAI department to suspend the work of the toll plaza being built in Kadak of the district and take action as per the rules, along with this, compensation for the land acquired by the NHAI should be given as soon as possible. The MP also directed to complete the road being built from Kudu to Ghaghra as soon as possible. The matter came up in the meeting that the road construction work from Shahi Ghat to Manhepath has been closed for the last two years. The MP directed us to complete it immediately. On the irregularities in the road being built from Kerar to Gotag, the MP instructed the district administration to form a team and investigate immediately and take appropriate action.
The Executive Officer of the Nagar Parishad was directed to take necessary action for the development of Balmiki Nagar and settlement of their land. The MP directed the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department to start the closed Har Ghar Nal Jal Yojana in Areya as soon as possible and also directed to take necessary action for water supply in Badla of Senha block. MP Shri Bhagat also directed to settle some cases of land affected by Hindalco's ropeway as soon as possible. The Sports Department was directed to take appropriate and further action for running boats in the reservoirs of the district and also take necessary action to develop the Melatand held on the occasion of Makar Sankranti in the Kharta river.
The Sports Department was directed to take necessary action for the construction of a mini stadium in village Rocho. The Land Conservation Department was directed to start the lift irrigation project closed due to lack of maintenance as soon as possible. Instructions have been given to complete the under construction road from Husru to Hatwal, Hatwal to Pipravan Murki as soon as possible. The leading district manager of the bank was instructed to make necessary arrangements for drinking water in banks in view of the scorching heat. DC Dr Waghmare Prasad Krishna, Superintendent of Police Haris Bin Zaman, Deputy Development Commissioner Dilip Pratap Singh Shekhawat, District Council President Reena Kumari, MP's personal secretary Alok Sahu, MLA representative Nishith Jaiswal, along with members of Disha, District Council members, Block Pramukh, district level officials and other dignitaries were present in the meeting.
