Senior leader of Atal Vichar Manch Priyambada proposed the name of Atal Vichar Manch founder and former Hazaribag MP and former Union Finance and External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha for the post of National President in the meeting, which was passed by the workers present by voice vote. As the national president, Yashwant Sinha was given full authority to expand the organization and take further action to register Atal Vichar Manch as a political party.
