MERI Group of Institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Journalism and Mass Communication University of Uzbekistan (UzJMCU) on Sunday. Professor Lalit Aggarwal, Vice-President, MERI Group of Institutions and Dr Ravshan Rayimjonov, Vice-Rector, UzJMCU signed the MoU on behalf of MERI Group of Institutions and UzJMCU respectively.
Professor (Dr) Ramakant Dwivedi, Head, MERI Centre for International Studies (CIS) and Director, India Central Asia Foundation, Mamta Aggarwal, Kush Aggarwal, Professor Sadanand Pandey, Professor Deepshikha Kalra, Professor SK Pandey, Beena, His Excellency Sardor Rustambaev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan in India’s representative from the embassy of Uzbekistan and other dignitaries were present at the signing of the MoU.
MERI Group of Institutions serves as a centre of excellence in providing education in the field of Management, Engineering, Journalism, Law, International relations, Economics, Commerce and other professional areas. The Journalism and Mass Communication University of Uzbekistan (UzJMCU) was established in 2017 and included in the system of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The MoU envisages cooperation in imparting education in Journalism and Mass Communication, artificial intelligence and other professional areas. Both the Institutions are committed to achieve their objectives through the promotion of research, scholarships and other mediums, said a press release from MERI.
