Land Revenue Department Minister Deepak Birua is constantly making efforts to curb land related disputes and corruption in Jharkhand. He is now prepared to curb fake deeds. The minister has directed the Land Revenue Department to improve NIC's software under a special action plan for this.
Birua expressed concern over the corruption done through fake deeds and said that, when a person applies for a deed, the concerned person gets a unique number of the deed. But by finding minor flaws in it, his deed is cancelled. Just a few days after this, the same deed number of the concerned person is again applied for the deed by adding unique number before and after it. This is promoting corruption. Due to this, pending mutation cases are also increasing. He directed that the department should completely stop applying for deed again for the same land so that mutation by making fake deed can also be stopped in a wrong manner.
The Minister instructed NIC to prepare good software. Work towards immediately stopping the application of deed again. This will reduce the cases of pending mutation in various zones. Also, it will be convenient for the zone workers to settle the rest of the land related work.
The minister said that in Jharkhand, tribal natives do not have much information about land in many ways. They have to run here and there again and again to get the receipt of their own land or for other small works. Middlemen take wrong advantage of this. Under no circumstances will fraud be tolerated in land related disputes.
He has said that some circle officer employees are running a business of getting the land registered in their name or in the name of a favourite on the instructions of a particular person. Such officers will be identified and action will be taken against them. The Abua government will not shy away from taking action against the wrong system.
