State Minority Welfare and Water Resources Minister Hafizul Hasan Ansari has once landed in controversy for his alleged remarks on the Constitution and holy book Quran.
On the side-lines of Ambedkar Jayanti, the Madhupur MLA was quoted that Shariat came first for a Muslim and then the Constitution of the country. However, when he was in the line of fire by opposition for his remarks, he later said that both the Shariat and Constitution were equally important.
After which, BJP is continuously attacking him. At the same time, the leaders of his ally party are also advising him to avoid such statements.
BJP's state president Babulal Marandi has objected to the statement of Minister Hafizul Hasan Ansari and has called such a statement a threat to the country. Along with this, Babulal has also raised questions on Congress and JMM on the pretext of Hafizul.
"Recently, Minister Hafizul Hasan Ansari had given a statement that we consider Shariat above the Constitution. This statement made it clear that the reality of Congress and JMM leaders who keep a copy of the Constitution in their pockets became clear from Hafizul Hasan's statement. Those who do not believe in the Constitution of India written by Baba Saheb Ambedkar, who consider Shariat above the Constitution. In such a situation, the Bharatiya Janata Party demands that the Congress Party and JMM clarify the entire situation and such a minister should be removed," Marandi said.
Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuvar Das said that the minister's remark exposes the real thinking of Congress and JMM. Today, when the whole country is celebrating the birth anniversary of the Constitution maker Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, such a statement is an insult not only to Baba Saheb, but also to the Indian Constitution and the democratic system based on it."
BJP MLA CP Singh also criticized Minister Hafizul Hasan's statement. He asked the minister from which area Minister Hafizul Hasan comes?
Which field does Minister Hafizul Hasan come from? If you ask the big, famous people of the country, even those who have been Vice Presidents, whether the Constitution of the country comes first for them or the Shariat, they will say that for me Shariat comes first. They have nothing to do with this motherland." said Singh.
Former State President of Congress Pradeep Balmuchu has advised Minister Hafizul Hasan to avoid such statements.
"For me the Constitution of the country comes first and religious texts come later. It is because of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar's constitution that we have got the freedom to follow our religions," said Balmuchu.
