Under the auspices of the District Legal Services Authority, Garhwa, and with the guidance of the Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority (JHALSA), Ranchi, a "Monthly Lok Adalat" took place today, Saturday, under the direction of Nalin Kumar, the Principal District Judge-cum-Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Garhwa.
A total of 103 cases were resolved during the Monthly Lok Adalat, leading to a revenue collection of ₹1,887,500.00.
To expedite the handling of various cases (including those from the Nagar Anumandal Vyavahar Nyayalaya), seven benches were established. These included: Kaushal Kishore Jha, Principal Judge, Family Court; Shivnath Tripathi, District and Additional Sessions Judge-III; Kumar Vipul, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate; Abhinay Tripathi, Judicial Magistrate; Sanjay Kumar Singh 2, District and Additional Sessions Judge-I from Anumandaliya Vyavahar Nyayalaya, Nagar Untari; and Arvind Kachhap, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate.
Each bench was assigned an advocate along with the judicial magistrates. The nominated advocates were Praveend Kumar Sahu, Nityanand Dubey, Anita Ranjan, Vijay Kumar, Birendra Kumar Mishra, and Anup Kumar Ojha from Nagar Untari.
This Monthly Lok Adalat saw the disposal of 25 Criminal Compoundable cases, 76 cases related to the Electricity Department, 1 case under the Motor Vehicles Act, and 1 Civil case, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 103. The total revenue collected amounted to ₹1,887,500.00.
Judicial officers, advocates, court staff, PLV Suryadev Choudhary, and litigants were in attendance.
