Jharkhand State Rifle Association will host its first Jharkhand State Trap Shooting Championship – a historic milestone for shooting sports in the region. This announcement marks a significant step towards the growth of shooting sports in Jharkhand, encouraging participation from athletes across the state.

The Jharkhand State Rifle Association (JRSA) is making significant strides in promoting shooting sports within the state and enhancing India's sporting prestige. The association's Annual General Meeting (AGM), held in Jamshedpur, marked a new chapter in its journey, setting the stage for a promising future in shooting sports.

Another key achievement highlighted in the meeting was the confirmation that the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) will now conduct its education programmes in Jharkhand. This initiative is expected to provide aspiring shooters and officials with invaluable training and educational opportunities, further strengthening the state’s position in the national shooting landscape.

During the AGM, key office bearers, including JRSA President  Diwakar Singh, General Secretary  Uttamchand, Treasurer  Madhur Agarwal, Chief Patron  A.K. Sen, Patron  Vikas Singh, Vice President  Binay Kumar, and Secretaries  Jayesh Amin and  Nityanand Singh, officially launched the JRSA’s official website. This platform aims to keep athletes updated with real-time information on shooting events, calendars, and key announcements.

The discussions during the meeting centered around strategic initiatives to elevate Jharkhand shooters to international levels of excellence. A comprehensive plan was developed to introduce and popularize shooting sports across all districts of the state. A significant initiative is the introduction of district-wide shooting championships, aimed at nurturing talent in remote and tribal areas, thereby fostering grassroots-level participation and inclusivity.

Representatives from various district associations and life members of JRSA attended the AGM, expressing their commitment to supporting these initiatives and taking Jharkhand’s shooting talent to new heights. With these developments, JRSA is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of shooting sports in the state and beyond.
