New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) in collaboration with SPIC MACAY and SRF Foundation, organised a classical music concert under the series of “Music in the Park” at Nehru Park, Chankyapuri, on Saturday.
The classical music evening was commenced by Dhruv Bedi (Sitar) accompanied by Akram Khan (Tabla), and Ashwini Bhide Deshpande (Hindustani Vocal) accompanied by Vinay Mishra (Harmonium) & Yati Bhagwat (Tabla).
Thousands of classical music lovers Including Diplomats, Higher Official of the Government and Corporate Sectors, Students of different Institutions, Park Visitors, other individuals etc. also listened to the Music Concert and enthralled on different music tunes / Raagas of the prominent classical music artists.
In the background of the lush green area of Nehru Park at the Heart of National Capital, the classical music concerts evening presented the respect & admiration to India’s rich cultural heritage, where specific ragas were performed for creating a truly immersive and transcendental experience.
In continuation of the classical music concert on Sunday, on the concluding day of classical musical evenings, Shashank Subramanyam (Carnatic Flute) accompanied by Parupalli Phalgun (Mridanagum), and Dr. N Rajan (Hindustani Violin) accompanied by Ms. Nandini Shankar (Violin) & Abhishek Mishra (Tabla) will perform on Sunday, October 26.
