The ‘Future Ready Skills’ programme was inaugurated at the MP Future Ready Skills Conclave held at Rajiv Gandhi Technological University on Friday. It will span 700 colleges, ITIs, and polytechnics in the state.
Reliance Foundation and National Skill Developmrnt Corporation (NSDC) launched the state wide large-scale skilling initiative to equip students with training in emerging fields like AI and cybersecurity.
The initiative aims to prepare youth for jobs in futuristic domains such as educational technology, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence—areas expected to see rapid growth in coming years.
IAS Raghuraj Rajendran, Secretary, Technical Education and Skill Development, said skilling must focus on quality, relevance, and access, not just training for its own sake.
He emphasised that all stakeholders—from government to institutions and industry—must collaborate to build a resilient and inclusive skills ecosystem for long-term success.
Nupur Behl of Reliance Foundation said the initiative would help youth not only keep up with global trends but also lead innovation and transformation in their fields.
