Speaker Om Birma to attend Singhbhum Chamber’s platinum jubilee on May 25

The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) is all set to mark a historic milestone as it inaugurates its Platinum Jubilee Celebrations on Sunday, May 25, at the Loyola School’s Fasy Auditorium. The prestigious event will be attended by Lok Sabha Speaker  Om Birla as the Chief Guest, making it his first official visit to Jamshedpur.

The announcement was made by Honorary General Secretary Manav Kedia, who also confirmed the presence of other distinguished dignitaries. Among the Special Guests expected at the event are: Union Law and Justice Minister  Arjun Ram MeghwalUnion Minister of State for Defense  Sanjay SethFormer Jharkhand Chief Minister and Former Union Minister  Arjun MundaJamshedpur MP  Bidyut Baran Mahto

General Secretary Kedia also mentioned that several other Union Ministers may attend the inaugural function, which is expected to be a grand and memorable affair for the city and the business community.

Chamber President Vijay Anand Moonka reflected on the Chamber’s journey, recalling its establishment in 1948 by a small group of visionary traders and its registration under the Companies Act in 1950. “Over the past 75 years, the Chamber has played a pivotal role in addressing the issues of traders, entrepreneurs, and professionals by representing them at the right forums,” Moonka said.

Today, the Chamber boasts a robust membership of 2,500 individuals, directly and indirectly representing over two lakh people across Kolhan. President Moonka expressed immense pride in having invited  Om Birla to this landmark celebration, stating, “It is a moment of joy and pride for both the Chamber and the citizens of Jamshedpur. This will be the first time a Lok Sabha Speaker is visiting Jamshedpur and witnessing the diverse culture of Mini India.”

The Platinum Jubilee will not be limited to a single event. According to Vice President Abhishek Agarwal Goldy and Secretary Suresh Sharma Lipu, the Chamber will organize a series of events throughout the year at Chamber Bhawan and other venues across the city. “We aim to make this a celebration for the entire city, not just for the business community,” they said.
