Special Director General of Police, MP STF, Pankaj Shrivastava has given instructions to take effective action against the gangs involved in hunting wild animals and trading in their organs for the protection of wild animals.
In compliance with this, a team of 06 members was formed under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Unit Incharge, STF Gwalior, Sanjeev Kumar Tiwari, under the guidance of Superintendent of Police, STF Gwalior, Rajesh Singh Bhadauria.
On 11 March 2025, based on accurate information from an informer, a joint team of the above STF team and State Tiger Striker Force Unit Shivpuri detained Rishikesh Meena father Devilal Meena, of Karauli, Rajasthan and Sakhi Adivasi of Sheopur with a Bolero vehicle number MP-06-BA-0660 near the bus stand Sheopur and recovered 11 horns (Deer), a wild live rabbit along with the Bolero vehicle from their possession. Further action is being taken by the General Forest Division, District Sheopur.
