Medha Dairy booths will be installed outside government offices in Jharkhand. The Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperatives Department will request the government to provide the site for this. Its purpose is to promote and propagate Medha Dairy within the state. Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperatives Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey has given these instructions during a review meeting with the officials of Jharkhand Milk Federation at Animal Husbandry Directorate Hesag.
During the review meeting, the need for promotion of Medha Dairy was felt. For this, temporary booths of Medha Dairy will be seen outside schools in urban areas. The best products of Medha Dairy will be made available among school children. The department believes that school children can be the most powerful medium for the promotion of Medha Dairy. For this, many types of programs will also be organized by Medha Dairy outside the school.
The minister has also instructed to open Medha Dairy booths in Mandar, Chanho, Bedo blocks of Ranchi. She instructed to select a site for the dairy plant in Saraikela-Kharsawan district instead of Jamshedpur. Tirkey told the officials to make the Farmer Training Center run by the Animal Husbandry Department residential. So that residential training of 200 to 300 farmers can be done at such training centers.
It has also been decided to organize a workshop with the Cow Service Commission. Many types of information will be given to the cow keepers in this workshop. The Minister said that along with the Federation, a Dairy Cooperative Society should be formed. This will prove to be successful for Jharkhand. By doing this, people can be connected at the rural level. This will also provide employment to the people and the department will also prove to be successful in achieving its goal.
