The Drinking Water and Sanitation Department has introduced a toll-free number for residents to report issues regarding drinking water sources. Citizens can now register complaints related to hand pump repairs, small and large water supply schemes, water quality, and sanitation. The toll-free number is operational from 8 AM to 8 PM daily.
Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal has urged the residents to utilize this facility for reporting water-related grievances to ensure timely repairs and maintenance of drinking water sources. Complaints that can be registered include hand pump-related issues such as ordinary repairs, water level reduction, and water quality concerns. Problems with small water supply schemes like house connections and solar-based supply issues, as well as major water supply scheme concerns including drinking water supply interruptions, house connection problems, and motor-related issues, can also be reported. Additionally, citizens can raise concerns about water quality, such as dirty or contaminated water and laboratory-related issues. Sanitation-related grievances, including toilet repairs, soak pit maintenance, menstrual hygiene management, and solid and liquid waste management, can also be addressed through this service.
Residents can contact the toll-free number 1800-3456-502 or reach out via the alternate contact number 94701-76901. Complaints can also be registered via email at callcentredwsd.jharkhand@gmail.com. The administration has asked residents to make use of these facilities for the swift resolution of their concerns, ensuring better water and sanitation services across the district.
