The Chas Municipal Corporation has initiated the trial run of the water supply pipeline under Phase-2 of the Chas Urban Water Supply Scheme. The trial, conducted today, connects the Intake Well to the Water Treatment Plant (WTP).
This pipeline, once fully operational, will ensure the supply of clean and safe drinking water to the residents of Chas. However, officials have clarified that the water currently being supplied through this trial pipeline is not fit for drinking.
Residents are advised to use the water strictly for cleaning and sanitation purposes until further notice. The supply of potable water will commence only after the successful completion of the trial phase.
Under the leadership of Additional Municipal Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar, officials have assured that an official communication regarding the commencement of drinking water supply will be issued after the trial is successfully completed.
