Abhishek Singhal, the Assistant Railway Manager (ARM) of Tatanagar expressed immense joy over this news. Speaking to reporters, the ARM said, "The honour given to Ritika Tirkey by the President is a proud moment for the entire Tatanagar Railway Department. From the moment we received the letter from Rashtrapati Bhavan, the atmosphere in the department has been jubilant. Ritika truly deserves this recognition for her dedication and achievements."

Ritika Tirkey holds the distinction of being the first tribal woman to complete a journey as an Assistant Loco Pilot on the Vandebharat Express from Tatanagar to Patna. This historic journey, conducted after the train's online inauguration by the Prime Minister, showcased Ritika's skill and commitment, further solidifying her place as a trailblazer in the field. The ARM extended heartfelt congratulations to Ritika for this honor, describing her as a role model for aspiring women in the railways and beyond.
