The Yogi government’s M-YUVA Yojana is empowering the youth of Uttar Pradesh to become self-reliant while driving economic growth. Uttar Pradesh Industrial Consultants Limited (UPICON) plays a pivotal role in this initiative, fostering entrepreneurship and supporting small businesses across the state, officials said here.
Through the M-YUVA scheme, UPICON has introduced several measures to nurture entrepreneurial talent. Experienced chartered accountants and financial experts have been appointed in every district to provide end-to-end guidance for budding entrepreneurs. A total of 17 experienced chartered accountants and financial experts have been appointed at the divisional level, officials said.
In 15 divisions, these experts are already offering guidance to entrepreneurs at every stage of their business. These professionals assist in feasibility studies, market analysis, and preparing detailed project reports, creating clear pathways to success. The scheme also facilitates financial assistance by coordinating with leading banks, offering a strong foundation for small businesses and startups.In this regard, retired bankers are being deployed in every district of the state to assist new entrepreneurs by establishing coordination between the beneficiary and the bank for financial assistance.
So far, bankers have been deployed in 50 districts. The scheme serves as a major foundation for small business ventures and startups. In addition to funding, young entrepreneurs receive practical and technical support to execute their business plans.
To support this, these bankers have prepared profiles for over 300 projects, with plans to expand the collection to 1,000.
Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary and Chairman of the MSME Promotion department, emphasises focusing on innovative areas such as e-commerce, green technology, and digital services.
He said, “These forward-looking projects are designed to equip youth with the skills and tools needed to thrive in emerging industries, fostering a new generation of successful entrepreneurs in Uttar Pradesh.â€
