Vedanta ESL observed the 81st National Fire Service Week with a week-long safety awareness campaign, emphasizing fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and community engagement. The initiative included live demonstrations, hands-on training sessions, and educational outreach programs aimed at promoting a culture of safety across its operations and nearby areas.
The event began with high-impact simulations, including a "Rescue from Work at Height" drill and a fire response demonstration by Vedanta ESL’s Fire Safety Team, showcasing quick response techniques and readiness. Over 700 business partners and 300 employees participated in intensive fire safety training sessions.
As part of its CSR efforts, the company extended its outreach to SJM School in Bijulia, educating over 70 students on domestic fire safety and road safety measures. Competitions such as quizzes and poster-making further engaged participants in spreading fire safety messages creatively.
Director of Central Engineering and HSES, Tapesh Chandra Naskar, emphasized that fire safety is a continuous mindset at Vedanta ESL, reaffirming the company’s commitment to creating a safe and alert work environment.
