Chor Bizarre celebrates summer with a menu that transforms the humble mango into a gourmet star, writes TEAM AGENDA
As the sweltering summer set in, there was one golden reprieve everyone looked forward to was the arrival of mangoes. Whether in luscious desserts or refreshing mocktails, the king of fruits cast its spell with unparalleled sweetness and lively flavour. This summer, Chor Bizarre hosted a mango-laden culinary celebration with its Mango Festival, which ran from 23rd May to 1st June 2025.
The festival featured a menu, celebrating the powers of mangoes to gel up across vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The starters were a burst of flavour with the Kairi Paneer Tikka brought together soft cottage cheese and tangy raw mango in a smoky tandoori embrace. The next serving was the Ambi Bharwan Tandoori Aloo surprised with a rich stuffing of peas and raw mango, creating a perfect harmony of spice and zest. The non-vegetarians could relish the Ambi Thecha Mahi Tikka, where sole fish met the punch of green chilli and raw mango, and the Aamras Murgh Tikka, where ripe mango lent a fruity richness to tender chicken.
The mains continued to impress. Vegetarians enjoyed the Ambi Pudina Paneer Curry, where the freshness of mint and tang of raw mango elevated the creamy paneer. For meat lovers, the Kairi Murgh Handi offered a rustic, home-style chicken curry with an unmistakable mango twist. Like no journey is complete without dessert and its a cherry on the cake if you get mango infused in the desserts in the end. Mango Phirni was a sublime finale with creamy, fragrant and imbued with the essence of ripe mango, ensuring a sweet and satisfying end to this seasonal affair.
