Shangri-La Eros New Delhi recently celebrated the Chinese New Year with an exclusive food experience at Shang Palace, the hotel’s signature Chinese restaurant. The celebration brought together authentic Chinese flavours, and traditional festivities.

At the heart of the celebrations was a specially curated à la carte menu, offering a rich tribute to China’s culinary heritage. Shang Palace crafted an immersive dining experience that showcased the essence of the Chinese New Year. Guests indulged in a menu that honoured traditional Chinese ingredients while incorporating contemporary elements and local influences.

Among the standout dishes, the Lobster Broth with Mushroom provided a warm and umami-rich start, while the delicate Butter Garlic Saffron Har Gao offered a refined take on classic dim sum. The bold and spicy Sichuan Chilli Whole Red Snapper became a favourite for those who relished fiery flavours. Other stellar offerings included the crispy Crackling Prawn, the aromatic Chicken Floss infused with cumin, and the vegetarian delight of Spicy Tofu Broccoli with Garlic Stock.

For those looking for classic Chinese staples, the Xiang La Chicken and Marble Pork delivered authentic flavours, while the Sanchen Spiced King Oyster Mushroom offered a delightful vegetarian alternative. Signature creations such as Radish Puff Dim Sum, Cumin Chicken Floss, and Stir-Fried Stem Lettuce with Celery Chilli added a unique twist to the menu. Rice and noodle lovers found comfort in the Bean Thread Noodles and the flavourful Deo Fried Rice with Egg, ensuring a well-rounded culinary experience.

No grand Chinese New Year celebration would be complete without the iconic Dragon Dance, and Shangri-La Eros New Delhi mesmerised guests with awe-inspiring performances in the hotel lobby. The graceful and powerful movements of the dragon, symbolising good fortune and prosperity, created an electric atmosphere of joy and festivity.

The culinary journey concluded on a sweet note with the Five Spice Crème Brûlée, a dessert that perfectly balanced rich flavours with a delicate finish. Each dish on the menu was meticulously crafted using the finest ingredients and techniques, offering guests a taste of the depth and complexity that define authentic Chinese cuisine.

“This Chinese New Year, we were proud to offer a unique experience that combined the finest of Chinese cuisine with traditional celebrations.
