PM Modi calls for joint action on security threats

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday emphasised the importance of collaboration between Central and State agencies to address emerging challenges in law enforcement and national security. PM Modi said this chairing the All India Conference of Directors General and Inspectors General of Police being held at Raipur in Chhattisgarh. Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval, the Union Minister of State for Home, Directors General of Police (DGP) from various States and Union Territories, as well as heads of Central Police Organisations, are attending the conference.

PM noted that the conference serves as a vital forum for exchanging ideas, fostering innovation, and building resilience against evolving threats. Sources said the first day of deliberations focused on strengthening India’s security architecture, with discussions on innovation, technology adoption, and the sharing of best practices among States.

Senior officials presented case studies on modern policing methods, cybercrime prevention, and community engagement strategies. The Prime Minister encouraged officers to adopt people-centric approaches while ensuring robust national security.The conference will continue with sessions on counter-terrorism, border management, and technological integration in policing.

In a social media post, PM Modi said that the first day of the DGP-IGP Conference in Raipur witnessed extensive deliberations on different aspects of India’s security system. He said that this is a great forum to share best practices and innovations in this field.The three-day conference began on Friday at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Nawa Raipur. Modi took part in various sessions scheduled under the conference.
