Weddings slow us down in unexpected ways. Between rituals, conversations, and moments of waiting, your bag ends up sharing more of the day than you realise — resting on your lap, tucked beside you, moving from space to space. The Leather Garden’s Saaya comes from observing scenes like these. Its design language takes cues from Indian architecture, where arches and jharokhas filter sunlight into shifting patterns. Those fleeting shadows became the starting point for the collection, influencing the shapes, textures, and fine detailing of each bag.
The process behind Saaya was careful and hands-on. It started with two colour stories — lighter tones balanced with deeper shades — chosen with wedding settings in mind. Then came material trials, leather experiments, and dozens of small embroidery samples, tested, rejected, and refined. Craft practices from different parts of India informed the surface work in subtle ways. Conceived by founder Neeharika, the collection is made to be lived with — carried, kept, and returned to across many milestones.
