PhD programme

The Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) University, Jaipur, is inviting application for its three to six-year PhD Programme. The areas of research for the doctoral programme include public health; pharmaceutical management; health and hospital management; nursing management;  population and development;  health economics and finance;  rural and urban health;  health communication and behavioural change;  information technology in the health sector;  health systems;  food security and nutrition and rural development. The course is designed to enable the students to enhance the research competency and skills of postgraduates, researchers, academicians, teachers and mid-career professionals in private and Government health sectors.

The candidate should have a Master’s degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s or MPhil degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55 per cent marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency. The selection for the programme will be on the basis of IIHMR Research Aptitude Test (IRAT) and personal interview, scheduled to be held on February 3-4, 2018. The programme has a total intake of 15 students both on the part-time and full-time basis. The registration in PhD depends on the subject to passing the qualifying examination which will be based on the course work in the first year of the programme.

Financial Analyst

With an aim to fill the gaps in current programmes which lacks industry exposure, applied practical training and internship assistance, the NSE Academy, a wholly owned subsidiary of National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. (NSE), has collaborated with Eidos Career LLP to launch Global Applied Financial Analyst (GAFA) programme. The programme is specially designed for the undergraduate students and offer subjects like development of the financial markets, the growth of Indian banking system, mutual funds route of investments, hedging mechanism of derivatives, fundamental and technical analysis of stock markets along with other financial subjects. Students, who have completed their Class XII or in their first or second year of graduation can apply for this programme.

There are three levels in the programme each of eleven months duration and will start February 8, 2018. At the end of the course, students will receive a joint certificate from both the institutions and also job assistance. Classes for this course will be conducted both as a classroom programme as well as under online mode.
