20-year-old dies in road mishap at Ratanpur village

A 20-year-old youth died while two others sustained injuries after their scooter was hit by a loading auto-rickshaw at Ratanpur village under Misrod police station area late on Sunday night.

Three injured youths were rushed to Hamidia hospital after their scooter was hit by a speeding loading auto rickshaw where one of the youth was declared while the condition of the remaining two is reportedly stable. The deceased was identified as Saurabh Parmar of Mandideep while the two others were identified as Ankit and Naman Sharma who were on their way to home in Mandideep after visiting Capital Mall on their scooter bearing registration number MP 04 SZ 3251. Saurabh was riding while the two were pillion. The scooter was hit by a loading auto rickshaw bearing registration number RJ 06 GA 7850 which proved fatal for Saurabh. Police said that the accident took place at around 9 in the night when the three after visiting Capital Mall where on their way back home.

The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation and a case under section 304 A of the IPC was registered against the errant driver. During the investigation police have seized the vehicle but driver is yet to be detained.

The injured have been referred to Noble hospital and their condition is reportedly stable. The driver was in an inebriated state could not be ascertained at the moment and after his arrest details could be revealed. The deceased used to work with his father said police.
