Only Chouhan’s ‘farming’ has become profitable business in MP: Ajay

Jeering at Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Leader of the Opposition Ajay Singh said that Chouhan is the only farmer in Madhya Pradesh whose farming has become a profitable business.

While addressing a gathering during his Nyay Yatra at Damoh on Monday, Singh stated that there are more than 54 lakh farmers in Madhya Pradesh who are facing problems in meeting both the ends. They are not getting benefited with several so-called schemes introduced by the State government for them, he added.

Singh alleged that Chouhan is the only farmer in the State, who owns only three acres of land and earned crorers of rupees profit in past 12 years. The farmers do not know the mantra of Chouhan’s farming, but they know that in the past 12 years, the Chief Minister has done farming of announcements only, he added.

Before commencing his yatra’s fourth phase, Singh offered prayers at the famous Shiva temple of Bandakpur in Damoh district on Monday. He addressing public meetings at Damoh, Bandakpur, Jabera, Pathariya and Hata. Former minister Raja Pateriya and Damoh district Congress president Ajay Tandon remained present.

“In every speech, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan never forgets to mention that he is son of a farmer, but the fact is known to all that in past 15 years, 29,000 farmers have committed suicide in the State, as they were facing around Rs 90,000 crore debt,” he added.

Singh further alleged that Madhya Pradesh still tops in crimes against women and malnutrition. He claimed that the chief minister is not associated with any section of the society, he has only cheated to the people of Madhya Pradesh in past 14 years, he added.
