Police book bike-borne miscreants for robbery

Govindpura police have booked two bike-borne miscreants who robbed a 54-year-old woman school teacher of her gold chain worth Rs  40,000 at Subhash Market in the evening on Wednesday.

The victim Alka Jain posted at Governemnt Primary School Govindpura was on her way to home at Danish Nagar on scooty was attacked by two bike borne miscreants at around 5 in the evening at Subhash market area.

SHO Govindpura police Satendra Kushwaha said that the victim was riding pillion and was targeted by the miscreants.

The victim is a resident of Danish Nagar and after attending a meeting she was on her way to home along with another school teacher and when they two reached near Subhash market due to having muddy road teacher who was riding decelerated the scooter after which victim got off the scooter and at the same time she was attacked by the bike borne miscreants and escaped with the spot, he added.

The police have registered a case under sections 392 of the IPC and started further investigation.

The victim told the police that the bike was not having registration number which was used by the miscreants in the crime.

Based on the description provided by the victim regarding the bike borne miscreants, police have started search.

The incident took place at around 5 pm during which the road was filled with commuters but before the victim could understand that she was robbed and raise alarm the miscreants managed to escape.
