Railway employee’s house robbed

House of a railway employee was targeted by miscreants and Rs 3 lakh cash and gold and silver jewellery worth  Rs 3 lakh were burgled from Kararia Farm under Bajaria police station area on Tuesday.

Police said that the victim Ramiqbal Gupta along with the family had gone for marriage function on February 8 and when they returned on Tuesday the valuables have been burgled.

A complaint was made by the victim with the Bajaria police and in the complaint the victim stated that he along with his family had gone to Saket Nagar for marriage and on his return he found that the lock was broken and on entering the house was found ransacked. The almirah was found broken and belongings were found lying on the floor.

Gold and silver jewelleries worth  Rs 1 lakh and  Rs 3 lakh in cash were found missing claimed the victim.

Police said that the miscreant have broken lock of the main door to enter the house. In the burglary the almirah which was having the valuables was targeted. The police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.

The victim works with railways and posted at coach factory.  The neighbours expressed ignorance over the burglary. Police said that the CCTV cameras installed at the nearby areas would be investigated in the further investigation. The miscreants were aware of the whereabouts of the victims and were aware regarding the cash and jewelry in the house.
