CSpur DAVians celebrate Children’s Day

Bhubaneswar: The DAVians of Chandrasekharpur celebrated the Children’s Day amidst a series of activities like cadence-musical bonanza, ‘dance DAV dance-sequel of dance’ numbers and others. School Principal, staffs and children offered floral tribute to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his 128th birth anniversary. The Chief Minister's address to children on the occasion of Children's Day was shown to the students. Principal Dr KC Satapathy administered the oath of the day to the students. Meritorious students were given prizes. Poet Amaresh Biswal, music director Amarendra Mohanty, Sukanta Kundu, Sujata Mohapatra and Manoranjan Pradhan were present.

Brahma Kumaris meet Vice-President Naidu

Bhubaneswar: During the two-day visit of Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu here, Brahma Kumari Leena, Brahma Kumar Bijaya, Prafulla, BK Madhu, BK Laxmidhar and BK Sukanya welcomed him and presented Godly Message and gift at the Raj Bhavan, where he was staying. Later, Brahma Kumari Leena and Brahma Kumar Bijaya told mediapersons about the views expressed by the Vice President in connection with the Brahma Kumaris organisation and social welfare works done by it.

MAN holds annual sports for autistic kids 

Bhubaneswar: The Manage Autism Now (MAN) organised the ATC (Autism Therapy Centre) annual sports-2017 recently at the Future Bhubaneswar School (FBS) her wth 35 autistic children participating in different events. The parents of autistic children joined to give moral boost to their children. Chinu became the champion of the meet. Other social organisations like OLS, CHETNA, Ashraya and Udaya took part in the event.

NJWB to celebrate Press Day on Nov 16

Bhubaneswar: The National Journalist Welfare Board (NJWB) is going to celebrate the National Press Day at the Jaydev Bhawan here on November 16. Health medi-claim policy will be given to 250 accredited journalists. The NJWB’s pension will also be given to veteran journalists and the Sambadik Ratna and Sambadik Gourav Award will be given to felicitate eminent journalists of national and State levels. The first-class journalism students of 2016 of the Utkal University, Culture University and Berhampur University will also be felicitated. Union Minster Dharmendra Pradhan, HC Judge Bijay Kumar Nayak, OSHRC Acting Chairperson Birakishore Mishra and Ministers will grace the occasion.
