Madhogarh Fort to be developed on pattern of Mughal Gardens of Pinjore

Haryana Tourism Minister Ram Bilas Sharma on Monday said that Madhogarh Fort in Mahendragarh would be developed on the pattern of Mughal Gardens of Pinjore and would be brought on the tourist map of the country.

The Minister stated this while presiding over a meeting of officers of Tourism Department in Mahendragarh.

He said that developing of Madhogarh Fort as tourism site was his dream project and there would be no shortage of funds for this project.

With the completion of Madhogarh-Mahendragarh-Narnaul-Rewari Heritage Circuit as tourism site, the pace of development would be accelerated in southern Haryana.

This heritage circuit would not only benefit Mahendragarh and Rewari districts but also neighbouring districts of Bhiwani and Gurugram. After its development as tourism circuit, the youths of these areas would get ample direct and indirect job opportunities, said the Minister. 

He said that Madhogarh Fort would be given grand look  by developing it into its original form and this site would be recognized nationally and internationally. The construction work on 35 km wide and 2 km long road leading to fort at a height of about 400 mtrs has begun, said he. 

Sharma also inspected the sites Rani Mahal, Bawadi on Madhogarh Fort and after this, prepared a roadmap for the development of the fort.
