While presiding over a religious programme at Naya Bada Udaseen Akhada in Kankhal on Monday, the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat sought blessings from the saints for the successful hosting of the Mahakumbh 2021.

Addressing the members of the religious fraternity present at the programme, CM said that the first thing he had done on assuming charge of the State as the Chief Minister was to seek blessing from the religious fraternity to run the Government on transparent terms.  “The result is now visible for everyone.

The Government has been functioning in a transparent manner over the past ten months,” he said. “I am again here, in his holy city to be blessed by the saduhs for a successful Mahakumbh 2021,” he added.

CM said that Haridwar being the nerve centre of the religious/cultural traditions, the State Government is going all-out to ensure that the success of Mahakumbh 2021 eclipses the  previous ones held here. He said that the successful hosting will enhance the image of the State further.

Head of the Akhada Mahamandaleshwar Shyam Sundar Shastri and Mahant Bhagat Ram Das presented the CM with a shawl while the  another senior functionary  Mahant Jagat Ram Muni gave a rudraksh rosary to  him.

After performing religious rituals at Naya Akhada, CM  reached the Harihar Ashram where he performed puja of Lord  Shiva along with the head of Juan Akhada Mahamandaleshwar Awdheshanand Giri.

Among others present were the Cabinet Minister Madan Kaushik and Haridwar mayor Manoj Garg.
