Oz man held with satellite phone

An Australian citizen was arrested from Badrinath on Tuesday night for carrying a satellite phone in defiance of the country’s laws.

According to police, the Australian identified as Stuart Ian Scott, son of Ian John, resident of Tinni Street, Queensland, Australia was found carrying a satellite phone at Alkapuri in Badrinath on Tuesday night.

Subsequently, a case was registered against him under the relevant section of Indian Wireless Telegraphy Act and he was produced in the court on Wednesday.

Noteworthy, a citizen of New Zealand, H Max Lindeman had been arrested for not keeping the valid passport with him from some place  in Chamoli district sometime  back.
