Some BJP leaders enjoying cultural event when nation in grief shameful: Baghel

| | RAIPUR | in Raipur

Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) Chief Bhupesh Baghel had condemned some Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders for enjoying dance and music in the inaugural function of T-20 competition of Chhattisgarh Cricket League held at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International cricket stadium in Naya Raipur on Tuesday evening—the day when the CRPF troopers were martyred in Bastar in a Maoist land mine attack.

In a statement Baghel said that it was shameful that when the entire nation was in grief over the martyrdom of nine troopers in Sukma attack, some BJP leaders were enjoying a cultural function in the stadium.

Baghel said it was an insult to the Martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation.

He further charged that the ruling government was insensitive over the series of massacres taking place in the restive area. Be it the martyrdom of troopers at Tadmetla which took lives of 76 jawans or be it the massacre at Jheeram valley where entire senior State-level leadership of Congress party were killed, the government remained insensitive, he added.
