SBPS bags runner up trophy at Vivekotsav

In the commemoration of 155th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, Vivekostav, an Inter-School Competition was organised at Vivekananda Vidya Mandir, Dhurwa. Students of Sarala Birla Public School exhibited their knack in the Devotional Group Song Competition and secured the 1st runner up position in the same. In another category, a team of three students bagged the third position in the Power Point Presentation Competition on the topic ‘Childhood Stories of Vivekananda’ School Head Personnel & Admin. Pradip Varma said that such activities inculcate the character-building among the young students. Principal Paramjit Kaur opined that if the students follow the principles of Vivekananda, they can become worthy citizens of our motherland.

Workshop on alternative therapy

A workshop cum seminar was organised on Acupressure and Alternative Therapy at the Indian Institute of Natural Resins and Gums on Thursday. Former IPS officer and acupressure specialist Amarnath Mishra said on the occasion that the human body has a strong immune system and one should make it stronger for good health. He also dwelt on various facets of acupressure and said that the treatment method does not have any ill effects. Director of IINRG K K Shrama also stressed on the need of adopting alternative therapy. The programme was run by Anjesh Kumar and vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Nirmal Kumar.

Spandan released in NARAKAS meet

‘Spandan’ an internal magazine of NARAKAS, was released during the half-yearly meet of the Samiti held at Hotel BNR Chanakya on Thursday. The meet was organised in the convening of Allahabad Bank; inaugurated by S B Jena the president of NARAKAS, Partik Barla the Regional Director of RBI, NABARD CGM Subroto Mandel and Union Bank GM R G Padelkar. The winners of Akhil Jharkhand Inter-office Essay writing competition – 2017 were felicitated on this eve. Beside others, Dr Rahul Srivastva, Harita M Marwah and Rajesh Gond were present in the meet.

Group hand washing facility in school

An innovative low cost group hand washing facility was inaugurated today at the Shankar Upgraded Middle School, Bokaro Thermal towards protecting children’s health and practicing safe hygiene in school. The aim of the initiative is to improve the health of the children in Shankar UMS, Bokaro Thermal by introducing appropriate and affordable hand washing means in school, said Shyama Kumari ,principal of the school. Yogeshwar Prasad Batul ,BJP MLA ,Bermo , Block development officer Akhlesh Kumar ,Shyama Kumari ,S.B. Singh ,Gopal Rajak ,mukhiyas, jointly inaugurated the new hand washing unit facility that allows a total of 119 students to wash their hands with soap at one go .

New BJP buildings at 26 sites

State unit of BJP will set up offices in all 26 organizational districts in Jharkhand. State Convener of office Constriction Committee and Dhabad Mayor Shekher Agrawal, talking to the media persons in Ranchi said that registration of land in 11 districts of the State has already been done where the office will be constructed in the next 8 months. Foundation will be laid for Simdege Office will be done by Chief Minister Raghunar Das on December 8 while the same will be doe for other districts on December 9 by various ministers.  CM also lay foundation stone for Khunti office on December 10.
