Minor conflicts mark voting in Lohardaga civic election

The local body election in Lohardaga was conducted peacefully with minor conflicts here on Monday.

As many as 24634 voters in a total of 34232 cast their votes. The percentage of the votes remained 72 per cent. Till 9 am 5597 voters with 16.35 percent, till 11 am 11790 voters with 34.44 percent, till 3 pm 21622 voters with 63.16 percent and till 5 pm 24634 voters with 71.96 percent voters cast their votes. The highest percentage of votes remained at ward no 11 booth no 1 of minor hostels. There 701 voters out of 832 in 84.25 percent used their votes.  Whereas the least percentage of votes was noticed in ward no 6 booth no 1 at church Middle school.

There 248 voters out of 461 with 53 percent used their votes.

The voters remained enthusiastic to participate in polling from early morning. In a total o 46 booths the police forces was deployed to hold fearless election.

The DC Binod Kumar, SP Rajkumar Lakra, SDO Raj Maheshwaram and other officials kept on inspecting the polling booths.
