Veteran BJP leader Kashilal Agarwal passes away

Veteran BJP leader of Hazaribagh Kashilal Agarwal (78) died here on Tuesday. He was not well since last two days. As the news of his death spread in Hazaribagh people started gathering at his house situated near Sahid Mahesh Soni chowk. On Wednesday his last rites were completed in local Khirgaon Mukti Dham. Thousands took part in his last journey including MP Jayant Sinha, MLA Manish Jaiswal, Ex-MP Mahavir Lal Vishwakarma, Ex-MLA Lok Nath Mahto and others.

Kashilal Agarwal had joined the RSS in 1950, in 1960 he became a member of Jan Sangh and since then always remained in the party which was named BJP in 80s. During last 57 year he served the party taking responsibility of many posts and presently he was the Chairman of 20 point committee of the district. During his political journey he went to jail several times and the longest period was during emergency when he was booked under MISA for more than 2 years.
