CM should have raised water shortage issue in Assembly: Maken

| | New Delhi | in Sunday Pioneer

Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken said the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who is also the chairman of the Delhi Jal Board should have raised the issue of severe water shortage in the three-day special session of the Delhi Assembly.

“Kejriwal is missing from this session of the Assembly and he cannot pass on the blame of water shortage in Delhi as being the chairman of the Delhi Jal Board it is his responsibility to ensure that drinking water is supplied through the DJB pipes to all. Instead, people are forced to buy water from the water tanker mafia at a high cost, and that water should have logically flowed through the DJB pipes,” he said.
