Two Maoists including a teenager on Monday surrendered to security forces in Dantewada district in Chhattisgarh.

Motiram Kunjam (25) and a 16-year-old boy turned themselves in, Dantewada Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rai said.

Kunjam was a Dandakaranya Adivasi Kisan Mazdoor Sangthan member while the boy was a Chetna Natya Mandali member of the outlawed Maoist group.

With this, 801 Naxalites, including 180 of them carrying cash rewards on their heads, have joined the mainstream in the district since June 2020.
