Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Wednesday said that the people of Haryana would vote for MSP guarantees, not for lathi-bullet to the farmer, for 32 lakh government jobs, not for record-breaking unemployment, for an annual apprenticeship guarantee of Rs 1,00,000, and not for sending youth to work as labour in war zone Israel. He said the people of Haryana are going to vote not for fear and crime, but for guarantee of security.
Hooda, who had come from Ambala to campaign for Congress candidate Varun Chaudhry Mullana, addressed many programs and appealed to the people to vote for Congress. State Congress president Chaudhary Udaibhan and senior leader Nirmal Singh were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the election meeting, Hooda said this time the choices are very clear before the public. “On one hand, Congress is asking for votes in the name of development and welfare schemes, while on the other hand, BJP is asking for votes without showing any work, or telling any future plan. It is obvious that this time the public vote will go to Congress, and the sting of these votes will be felt by the BJP,” he said.
Hooda said there is anger in the entire state, including North Haryana that the BJP government has forced our youth to leave the country by spreading massive unemployment. “The youth are convinced that they have no future in the country under the BJP government. That's why every second youth wants to go abroad through the donkey route, or any other means. BJP's policies have separated young children from their old parents. Congress wants to make Haryana a state from where no youth is forced to migrate from the country,” he stated.
While addressing the people, Congress Ambala candidate Varun Chaudhry Mullana said that lakhs of martyrs have sacrificed their lives to bring democracy in India. “There can be no place for dictatorship in this country. The time has come to teach a lesson to the BJP which crushed the voices of every section of the society including farmers, labourers, employees, Panch-Sarpanch and businessmen,” he said.
He promised the public that just as he raised the voice of Mulana in the Assembly as an MLA, in the same way he will raise the voice of Ambala in the Lok Sabha by becoming an MP.
