"Ambassadors for Change" Programme Raises Awareness on Child Abuse

CII Young Indians organised the  "Ambassadors for Change" program aimed to equip teachers with skills to identify and prevent child abuse at Center for Excellence.

 

Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar inaugurated the program, acknowledging Young Indians' efforts in combating child sexual exploitation. He emphasized the crucial role of teachers in strengthening this campaign.

 

Led by Shubhangi Shinde from "Arpan" organization, attendees engaged in discussions and presentations on recognizing signs of abuse and protecting children. The program highlighted various initiatives under the Young Indians Project "Masoom," which has sensitized over 15,000 children and caregivers in the past year.

 

The event also featured performances by children and emphasized the collective responsibility in safeguarding children from harm.

 

Rashmi Kauntia, Debasmita (Megha) Bhalotia, and Preeti Jhunjhunwala played pivotal roles in orchestrating the event.

 

Participants concluded the program by taking an oath administered by DDC Manish Kumar and the district administration's "Sweep" team, underscoring the commitment to proactive engagement in societal issues.
