Car owners have demanded better roads from the political leaders contesting in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024 on Wednesday according to a survey from different parts of the country. A survey by the Park+, a super app for car owners, which was designed to understand Indian car owners’ expectations from political parties reveals that 98 percent of car owners want better roads from the government.

Additionally, 83 percent of Indian women car owners want more women traffic police personnel on roads and 81 percent of car owners demand a more friendly traffic police force, compromising both men and women. The survey sample consisted of over 50,000 car owners from Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Chennai.

“With over 4.5 Cr+ cars running on Indian roads today, Indian car owners form the backbone of the Indian middle class, and their demands for better roads, friendly traffic police personnel, and better traffic management are key election demands that political parties can address to bring delight back to owning a car in India,” Amit Lakhotia, CEO and Founder of Park+, said.

Additionally, top three demands by Delhi NCR car owners include friendly traffic police personnel, better road infrastructure and better traffic management during office hours. Moreover, about 61 percent of car owners want better management by traffic police to counter road rage and dangerous driving. 83 percent of women car owners want more women traffic police personnel on highways and main roads and 72 percent of car owners felt that waterlogging was a major concern during monsoon season.
