Maoists put of posters for poll boycott in Palamu

Friday, 03 May 2024 | PNS | DALTONGANJ

Haidernagar police in Palamu today retrieved 3 hand written leaflets purported to be from the Maoists parroting to the same old tune of boycott election which the Maoists had launched first in 1995 then in Balumath police station limits which was a part of Palamu district then.

SDPO Hussainabad Mukesh Kumar Mahto has confirmed the retrieval of the 3 hand written leaflets of the Maoists to boycott polls.

He said the handwriting of the three looks quite identical to each other while 2 different pen strokes have been used.

One such poll boycott stuff was found pinned in the stem of the banana, added Mukesh Kumar Mahto.

Two other hand written leaflets were found pasted on the government buildings.

The locations of the hand written leaflets have been found at two areas Imamganj and Barewa under the Haidernagar police station limits in Palamu.

The Maoists' poll boycott call hardly cuts any ice with the masses as the common voters have rejected it in the wholesale fashion for more than 29 years or so.

This tokenism to boycott is more to suggest that Maoists are down, lesser in numbers but not out in Palamu.
