A 13-year-old child committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling in Shiv Nagar Karond under Nishatpura police station area on Sunday evening.

Around 4:30 pm, he was playing in the bright sunlight on the road outside the house and when he did not return home even after calling home several times, his mother reprimanded him and called him. Saddened by this, he remained silent in the house for some time. After this, he committed suicide by hanging in the room located on the terrace. The police have established a route and started an investigation.

According to SI Ram Singh Thakur, Ramdas Sahu, resident of Shiv Nagar Karond, works in household goods and lives with his  wife and two children in the family. There is an elder daughter and her younger son was Gauraksh Sahu, who was 13 years old.

On Sunday afternoon, Gauraksh was playing gilli-danda outside the house with the children of the locality. Because there was too much sunlight, his mother reprimanded him for playing.

Gauraksh came home after his mother's scolding. After some time, mother and elder sister fell asleep. Meanwhile, at around five in the evening, Gauraksh hanged himself in his room. The incident came to light when mother and sister woke up. Hearing the noise, neighbors also reached the spot. At 6 pm, the child was taken out of the noose and taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Gauraksh has given the sixth class examination this year. These days, due to summer vacation, he started playing more.

SI says that the mother told in her statements that the child was not dull in studies. This was the reason why she paid special attention to him.

In a separate incident, an MBBS student of a private medical college was found hanging in a hostel room in Bhopal, police have not found any suicide note from the room investigation has been started.

The deceased student is Rani More (22). She was a first year MBBS student at Chirayu Medical College. She was living in the college hostel itself.

Police said that on Sunday night, Rani had gone to sleep in the room as usual. When she did not come out till late on Monday morning, the warden was informed. She called the carpenter and got the door of the room broken at around 11.30 am and when they went inside, she found the girl hanging from the fan by her dupatta. Rani More was a resident of Khargone district. She got admission from NEET UG counseling 2023.
