Palamu police have registered a case first of its kind here in which uttering of talaq, talaq, talaq on phone from Hyderabad by a man to his wife here at Kusiyar village under Bishrampur police station resulted in the suicide of the woman so made to hear triple talaq on phone! She did not wait anymore for religious relief but took the extreme step of consuming poison.

Outgoing officer in-charge of Bishrampur police station Chandrashekhar Kumar said Mansoor Ansari husband of Rukhsana Bibi of Kusiyar village is alleged to have given triple talaq to his wife Rukhsana on phone from Hyderabad which shocked Rukhsana so much that she ended her life by eating poison.

Rukhsana has left behind 3 children two of them are sons.

Police officer Kumar said father of the deceased Karmuddin Ansari has given his statement which is recorded by police in which the father has alluded to triple talaq given on phone from Hyderabad to his daughter Rukhsana that took her life finally. The father has further accused Mansoor and his parents of torturing her in the past too.

Kumar who handled this case quite adroitly on Saturday is now transferred from Bishrampur to Manatu police station but his transfer has no remote connection with this case at all said police sources. He visited Kusiyar where the cell phone triple talaq was alleged to have been said from Hyderabad and at Nimiya where the woman was finally buried.

According to this outgoing police officer Mansoor Ansari a gas cutter and welder working in Hyderabad did not come home at Kusiyar this Bakrid festival and his wife was too upset.

He said the wife had a talk with her husband on Thursday which was full of distrust and acrimony as Kumar quoting family sources said the wife was angry that her husband in Hyderabad was spending time with a man and his wife whom she never liked and wanted her husband too to avoid them but Mansoor Ansari told her on phone that he was enjoying ‘sewai’ with them and that broke the patience of Rukhsana who said something more harsh following which Mansoor Ansari is alleged to have uttered triple talaq.

The man and his woman with whom Mansoor Ansari was having his time in Hyderabad too are of Kusiyar village and are known to each other, said sources.

Rukhsana took sulphas and ate it on Thursday itself only to be rushed first to Garhwa hospital, then to RIMS in Ranchi where she finally died on Friday.

Autopsy was done in Ranchi but she was buried at her father’s village Nimiya under Rehla police station when her in law’s village was Kusiyar where she was not buried added this outgoing police officer Kumar.

Sources said it is a tough case for police to establish before law courts that the husband did utter triple talaq. Sources said there is no recording of it either.
