Cong will be wiped out in LS polls: Sai

Wednesday, 03 April 2024 | Staff Reporter | RAIPUR

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday said he was confident the Congress will be wiped out in Chhattisgarh in the Lok Sabha elections.

Sai was addressing the nomination rally of Bhojraj Nag in Kanker in which he appealed to people to vote for the BJP to make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister for a third term.

He said the Congress did not respect the public mandate given to it in the 2018 Assembly polls. That is why it suffered a shock defeat last year, he said.

Modi in his 10 years tenure had worked for the betterment of village, poor, farmers, labourers and people from all the walks of life, he said.

Sai said that his government in Chhattisgarh had fulfilled the promises of providing 18 lakh pucca houses to the homeless and two years of bonus of Rs 3,716 crore to 12 lakh farmers.

Also, the BJP government had procured a record 145 tonnes of paddy at Rs 3,100, he said.
