District election officer Bokaro emphasizes election process as National Pride

Efforts to boost voter turnout in urban areas have been intensified by the State Election Commission's (SEC) continuous organization of various awareness programs. In this sequence, on Sunday, a "#VoteWalkathon" was organized under the chairmanship of the District Election Officer (CEO) and Deputy Commissioner (DC), Vijaya Jadhav who is  playing a pivotal role in fostering a culture of democracy and civic responsibility in the region apart from normal routine exercises. The inauguration of the Vote Walkathon took place from Patharkatta Chowk, Sector 05, located in the Bokaro Steel City, culminating at Ram Mandir Chowk in Sector 02.

 

On this occasion, district-level officials, representatives of the IMA and Private Nursing Home Association/Drug and Chemist Association, along with a large number of city residents, participated.

 

During the occasion DEO Jadhav emphasized the enthusiasm with which everyone participated in this program, highlighting that on the upcoming May 25, 2024, on Election Day, everyone will step out of their homes with enthusiasm to reach the polling centers and exercise their voting rights. They urged Bokaro residents to set a new standard by achieving a 100% voter turnout. Stressing that "voting is a festival of democracy that comes once in five years," they emphasized the importance of participating in this festival without any mistake. They encouraged everyone to vote and inspire others in their vicinity to do the same.

 

The District Election Officer  described the election process as the pride of the nation, a slogan that resonated with everyone present. Additionally, a message regarding the upcoming voting on May 25 was released into the sky through balloons.

 

The Nodal Officer of the Election Commission, along with the Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC),  Sandeep Singh, stated that everyone must vote. Even if someone does not possess an Elector Photo Identity Card (EPIC), they can still utilize their voting rights by presenting any of the 12 other alternative documents approved by the Election Commission of India.

 

 

On this occasion, Media Nodal Officer  Avinash Kumar Singh, along with Civil Surgeon Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Media Nodal Officer  Saket Kumar Pandey,  Prabhas Datta the Nodal Officer of the Sveep Campaign, along with all district-level officials, representatives of the IMA and Private Nursing Home Association/Drug and Chemist Association, and employees from various departments including the District Hospital and Civil Surgeon's Office were present.

 

This event aims to foster a sense of responsibility and active participation in the democratic process among citizens, ensuring a vibrant and robust electoral system.
