Weather conditions are like the rainy season in Madhya Pradesh in the ongoing summer season. It drizzled in Bhopal on Sunday evening. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of a thunderstorm with speed of 50 km per hour with moderate dusty winds and lightning in Maheshwar of Khargone, Omkareshwar of Khandwa and Narmadapuram in the next 24 hours.

There is a possibility of light storm with lightning continuing in Indore, Barwani, Sehore, Harda, Betul also. Rain is also expected in Burhanpur, Bhopal, Bhimbetka of Raisen, Pachmarhi and Narsinghpur.

Rain and storm are continuing in the state for the last 2 days. Similar weather will continue for next 2 days. According to the Meteorological Department, a Western Disturbance is currently active. Because of this there is a period of drizzle and storm.

The Met has issued warning of Thunderstorm with rainfall and gusty winds (30-40 km/h) in districts of Bhopal, Narmadapuram division and in Burhanpur, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Ratlam, Udaipur, Dewas, Shajapur, Agarmalwa, Guna, Ashoknagar, Anuppur, Dindori, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Damoh, Sagar Chhatarpur,Harda, Khandwa, Chhindwara districts.

Thunderstorm with hail storm and gusty winds (40-50 km/h) would be witnessed in Betul, Khargone and Barwani districts.

Earlier, on Saturday the mercury remained more than 42 degrees in Khandwa and Khargone also. At the same time, there were clouds in many districts including Bhopal. The lowest mercury was recorded at 33.4 degrees in Pachmarhi. The highest temperature in Khandwa was 42.1 degrees.

In the next 24 hours rainfall is likely to be witnessed in the districts of Jabalpur, Burhanpur, Betul, Narmadapuram, Pandhurna, Chhindwara, Narsinghpur, Sagar, Damoh, Seoni, Balaghat, Mandla, Katni, Umaria, Dindori, Anuppur, Shahdol and Maihar.

It is expected to rain in Bhopal on April 22-23. The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain and thunderstorm in Berasia and Kolar areas of the city. This alert has been issued in the forecast for April 21 to 24. However, before this there is an effect of heat in the city. The scorching heat of the sun throughout the day on Saturday left people in distress.

Many rainfall records were broken in April. About two and a half inches of rain fell in Bhopal. At the same time, a record has also been made that it rained for 11 consecutive days in April. There has been continuous rain in the state from April 7 to April 17. Now the state is getting drenched again.
